Thread: Tqcrunas and connected network drives

Subject: Does it actually work
We are looking to restrict our students on XP SP2 machines. The more restrictions in place, the less we have to rebuild the OS. Problem is some of our APPS need admin priviledges to run correctly. There is no way we are giving students admin rights so we've been looking for a solution. We've tried RunAS and CPAU, but neither allow the process launched to connect to network drives and printers mapped when the student first logs in. Tqcrunas seemed to be the answer to our prayers... but! We're only running the eval version, but when testing with various settings we cannot get the Tqcrunas executed application to see the network drives on the machine. Can someone please tell me if a)the eval is restricted.. and b)if tqcrunas actually does what the intro page says and allows access to connected net drives? I can say for certain that if someone is able to proove to me that this works, then we would be very interested in making a purchase. But all the time the eval fails to perform, its unlikely that we'll be able to convince our boss! Any help would be good! Neil
